Katy Perry sent fans into a tailspin today after she appeared to tease a collaboration with Taylor Swift on her forthcoming album, tentatively titled ‘KP5.’

In a new interview with Extra, the singer “played coy” when asked if she’d be working with former frenemy Swift on her first album since 2017’s ‘Witness.’ Perry is set to make her comeback this Friday, May 15th with her lead single, “Daisies,” which has also been rumored to feature Swift.

“Well, you’re just gonna have to tune in to ‘Idol’ next week if all rumors are true or false,” Perry told Extra.

Fans have been begging for a collaboration between the two pop superstars ever since their on-screen reconciliation in the music video for Swift’s “You Need To Calm Down.” While the pair may have put an end to their beef that day, Perry and Swift haven’t had much public contact since.

Perry‘s latest hint has KatyCats and Swifties more hopeful than ever that they’ll work together on ‘KP5.’ However, this could also simply mean that Swift will make a surprise cameo in the “Daisies” video without a featured credit.
