Starting this Thursday, September 14, television is about to get a whole lot sillier!

Hosted by Josh Duhamel, CBS’ Buddy Games unites six teams of four best friends and forces them to walk down nostalgia lane in a very wild and wacky way. At a stunning adult summer camp by the lakeside, these teams will play in the “buddy games” and compete in several physical and mental challenges that are as absurd as they are challenging. The teams will also be living together throughout the season, with friendships rekindled and rivalries reignited. The last buddy team standing will win the season, taking home a cash prize and the coveted Buddy Games trophy. They’ll also be getting bragging rights, of course.

Duhamel’s Buddy Games is based on an annual tradition put on by him and his friends in real life, so the reality series holds a special place in his heart. “Being able to bring Buddy Games to CBS is truly a dream come true for me. This is something my buddies and I have wanted to share with the world for a long time as we knew there was a relatability to it with other people doing similar things to strengthen their friendships,” said Duhamel. “For me, getting to executive produce and host Buddy Games while observing these groups of friends let loose and become part of this big family has been an honor and will be a lot of fun for viewers to watch.”
