Clairo is reflecting on her mental health journey over quarantine with a new song shared to social media titled “Just For Today.”

In an Instagram post accompanying the track, the “Sofia” singer tells fans that her mental health has taken a “serious dip” since quarantine. “At times I feel like I’ve never felt worse,” she wrote. “New medication, hotlines, and one scheduled appointment with a psychiatrist later and I’m feeling more like myself again.”

“I wrote this last night and I feel like there’s no real reason to hold onto it,” she continues. “I hope you enjoy the song and Joanie’s squeaks.”

Clairo touches on the topic of suicide hotlines in the track, adding that she’s “blocked out the month of February” for support. She concludes her post with a link to the National Suicide Hotline (800-273-8255) for those in need.

Clairo scored her first Billboard Hot 100 hit in 2020 with “Sofia” following its rise on TikTok. Her 2019 album, ‘Immunity,’ made Pop Crave’s Top Albums of 2019 at #9.
