It looks like there’s a Lady Gaga and BLACKPINK stan running the U.S. Embassy Seoul Twitter account.

The embassy’s official Twitter account turned heads late Thursday night after posting a tweet to its nearly 50k followers promoting “Sour Candy,” the highly-anticipated collaboration from Lady Gaga and BLACKPINK on ‘Chromatica.’ The message was certainly out of character for the Twitter account, which has been busy posting news items on COVID-19 and resources for U.S. citizens in the country.

The seemingly random tweet sparked excitement among BLACKPINK and Gaga fans who described the interaction as a “cultural collapse.”

The Gaga and BLACKPINK fandoms have been busy teaming up to promote “Sour Candy,” which is sure to help Gaga reach millions of new K-pop listeners. Little Monsters are counting on the Blinks (BLACKPINK fans) to help push the single on YouTube where BLACKPINK boasts nearly 35 MILLION subscribers. The music video for their smash hit, “DDU-DU DDU-DU,” is the third-most watched video by any girl group worldwide with over 1 BILLION views.
