The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has thrown a giant wrench into the global music business, and not just for live concert events. With social distancing practices becoming more commonplace across the world, record labels find themselves navigating unchartered territory without the resources to produce music videos, prepare promo material, produce CD/vinyl and much more. Even streaming numbers, which were assumed to stay stable or even increase during this pandemic, have seen a decline.

Major albums from some of today’s biggest names like Lady Gaga, Sam Smith, HAIM and more have been put on hold in light of the COVID-19 threat, while Dua Lipa‘s ‘Future Nostalgia’ was released a week early despite the unforeseen future. It’s likely other albums that weren’t even on the calendar yet will see a release date shakeup too. Miley Cyrus, for example, recently confirmed that the Coronavirus upended her plans to release a new album during summer festival season.

It’s unclear how the next few months will play out in the music industry. While there are still many projects scheduled for their original release, it’s likely we’ll see a fair share postponed indefinitely. With that said, Pop Crave has assembled a comprehensive list of albums still set for release that will be updated regularly through April, May and possibly beyond:
