The 20th annual BET Awards will carry on amid the COVID-19 pandemic with a virtual ceremony full of A-list remote performances.
Hosted by comedian Amanda Seales, the event will forgo the traditional red carpet affairs and offer up “innovative techniques” and “artist-generated content,” according to an official statement. It airs this Sunday, June 28th at 8 pm EST on BET.

Drake leads this year’s group with six nominations, including “Best Male Hip-Hop Artist,” “Video of the Year” and “Best Collaboration.” Megan Thee Stallion and Roddy Ricch also dominated with five nominations apiece. Each newcomer is up for “Album of the Year,” “Video of the Year” and “Best Hip-Hop Artist” in their respective gendered categories.
